Man vs Wild

I have been a fan for discovery channels show called "Man vs Wild", featuring Bear Grylls, the former British special force member, experienced adventurer. He even got a bit emotional when shooting the episode of him surviving in the lost Rocky mountain for up to 5 days, he said: when you are at survivor's mode, you can not procrastinate, you got to do whatever, move forward instead of waiting for things to happen perfectly.

Three new things/trends learned today

Abc7news.com today reported a few interesting ideas/facts in our local northern California. One is a "low density, energy absorbing foam that, among other potential applications, could help avoid complete wipeout for nations $200 mil surfboard manufacturing market". http://www.sandia.gov/news-center/news-releases/2006/mat-chem/tuf-foam.html

No wonder all of a sudden, I somehow felt the grocery price has increased a lot just lately-you know what, it's not just me. It's the fact. Energy and corn price increase has huge ripple effects across all industries, cow eats corn made food, so milk, cereal, beef's price are all jacked up. So I think a site like retailmenot.com (really it's my favorite value add website, much more so than any other web2.0 sites) will have bright future. There could be more sites like this rise up, I am planning to ride the wave.

Lastly, how to use green to pay for green. Lot of people have started to utilize solar energy to pay for electricity bill, so here comes a new bank: http://www.newresourcebank.com/, founded by an asian guy. What a smart move!

Hang on, Voltaire

Watching swingers (1996) the 2nd time, when Trend (Mike) couldn't wait for their breakfast (breakfast all day, that was the restaurant with rugs, fires, Neons, the one Taylor the stripper girl brought me to at 2am a night of 2005), the waitress girl popped up that line. I did not know this word "Voltaire".

Memorizing it, I looked it up in dictionary.com; it's said to be a French philosopher/writer whose book...often attacking injustice and intolerance."

Now I get it. Maybe it's quoted for the "intolerance" of waiting for breakfast? It's rare to see any waitress pops up Voltaire, still.

A right amount of work out

Sometimes, just a bit of work out would be right on for your body and mind. Like today's west coast swing dance that I have missed for two weeks. I have been hesitant to go every time, amazingly, each time I went, it felt good when it's done, especially when I didn't indulge myself too much. That is, stop when you are most comfortable, because, everything else will go downhill after that. It's true, I felt energetic, refreshed, ready to do a bit of work when I got home.

Always take extra step.
But, Never indulge!
