Tom Friedman and John Doer

John Doer was filling in on Charlie Rose show to interview Thomas Fredman, the author of "the world is flat".

Two quote from Thomas Fredman:

1. "If you don't go, you don't know"
2. "I was born at night, but not last night"
3. "I don't want to give up on president Bush...if there is an optional way other impreachment, it would be "Can I go now" proposition by President Bush himself"...seriously funny!

It's raining!

It's almost June and Northern California is still raining!! This is unbelievable. I love rain though. The air smells good and trees look greener. I love rain drops tickling my face, the sound it makes when touching the roof. I think our little neighor (birds) also love the rain, see she is sitting on that the wire line and watching me. It's a lovely day.

Asian and white chick

It's another example that distinguishs the Asian and white chicks. It's my thursday night dance outing to cat. As always, I had a blast dancing with new girls left and right. Girls just want to have some fun. Once you know that, everything else falls into places. There was this very cute asian girl dancing just like a hot gothic white chick which I dig most of the time, and there was this cute white chick appearing to be her friend and dancing together with her, while I did not really approach but dance to the deparche mode, both of them noticed and LIKED my move (you know girls), but who approached me? The white chick. We had loads of fun dancing and flirting, while that asian chick (she is really cute) danced away.

White chick knows who they want and go for him, Asian chick is often too conservative to do that.

Quiet bird

It is a sunny afternoon, blue sky, quiet little park by the roadside. A young father was showing how to play baseball to his little boy, while an aging grandpa playing with his granddaughter in the kids park, they must have been playing for hours. I picked a chair with shades and sat down for Jane Fonda's book "my life so far". It was a bit chilly and I started to feel it half an hour into the reading wearing only a t-shirt (my favorite "from dream to dot com" T). I couldn't help to tremble a bit to the cold and looked up to the sky, it's still very blue, a bird flew by and stopped at the top of the pine tree near me, without a sound. Getting used to baby birds' noisy appetite at this time of the year (I volunteer a few hours a week to feed baby birds), I find this little bird especially lovely, she is so quiet. Maybe she knows I am reading? I thought I would name her angel, or Jane. I am thinking to read one hour every early afternoon in this park.

You are a very bad Lizard

My housemate is a phd girl who just finished her Phd in Chemistry at Stanford. She has a few water tanks in her sunny room that are full of exotic animals such as lizards, frogs, little fishes. And she talks to them a lot. Last thing I overheard is : you are a very bad lizard.

Let me show you the world in my eyes

Let me take you on a trip
Around the world and back
And you won't have to move
You just sit still

Now let your mind do the walking
And let my body do the talking
Let me show you the world in my eyes

I'll take you to the highest mountain
To the depths of the deepest sea
We won't need a map, believe me

Now let my body do the moving
And let my hands do the soothing
Let me show you the world in my eyes

===================================
That's all there is
Nothing more than you can feel now
That's all there is

Let me put you on a ship
On a long, long trip
Your lips close to my lips
All the islands in the ocean
All the heaven's in the motion
Let me show you the world in my eyes

That's all there is
Nothing more than you can touch now
That's all there is

Let me show you the world in my eyes

After reading "The art of the start", I find guy's blog equally insightful and funny.
