What is the point to have a bulldog?

I mean, seriously, they always look so sad, so pathetic, You never get to know whether they are happy or not, by looking at their face.

Even you are rich? like, really, really rich?

My dog is depressed...

That didn't sound funny at the moment I heard it. Hey it's MTV's rich girls show and their mom was saying that when their dog got really sick and the whole family was feeling down, well, kind of. The mom was like:"the doctor said this and that... and the dog is depressed, but how did he know?" Yeh, hell, how did he know about a dog's feeling, even he is a vet?Listen to that: "your dog is depressed"...Can you accept that answer?

Love actually

is around us. Hugh Grant turns out outshining everyone else in the movie, even his time as British prime minister is rather short. Don't know why spicy victoria is called chobby, she is indeed but what's wrong about it - she looks just fine, As a matter of fact, I think she has some non-English gene. This is a movie promoting love atmosphere, inter-racial love is in first time as I am aware being promoted so publicly that I started to question the necessity to do so. It cracks me up when Hugh Grant said to Victoria, "You could be murdered by dating prime minister", especially when it came from nowhere near getting a date from Victoria, that was pretty funny. I went to see the movie just because Sarah of Alice bragging it as a great one, it's fine movie, however, it's a bit superficial, at least to me, I actually started looking at my watch before it ended.

What is brilliance?

It's not Microsoft, it's not Sun, it's not HP. Microsoft is close, but it's not. It's not Cisco. It's not Apple. Apple is close. All these companies are extremely technical savvy. It's hard for regular folks to understand all these tech stuff. Nevertherless, 95% of population are such folks. Sticking with 5% smarty pants doesn't really help a businessman. A real brilliant businessman are folks who understand 95%. Let's look at Wal-Mart, Let's look at E-Bay, Let's look at GE, Let's look at Google, Let's look at Dell. Those are most profitable companies in their industry, or put it this way, in the industries they invented, defined. Those are folks who can find the extrordinary things out of ordinary stuff. Brilliance is the insight people have in their minds without getting professional training. Brilliance is natural. Brilliance has tendancy to jump out of its habitat to influence its environment. Brilliance is invisible string power that pulls great melody out of cold and boring material. Brilliance doesn't need school, degree, or heritage. It's a heritage itself.

Something about being radical

Radical as an English word is not necessarily a good word, especially when it's described to a person. Who are the type of the people we can call radical? Before going forward, Am I a radical person? I feel smart but I am not sure, I feel handsome however nobody else agrees, I want to change this and that only to find it's less than one nano-string if you were to describe our universe as what string theory tells. What about bloggers? Why people blog? I guess bloggers all have big self-ego however it's not yet accepted as beneficial to the society or our universe in all. In turn, we (yes, including new blogger like me) turns to something virtual, something we are not sure, notice the common ground here between this web blog and bloggers, they are all not sure about something, or they are uncertainties. Bloggers imagine web blog with a huge audience, there are countless sexy girls, phds, musicians, bosses etc..or cool people, only to ignore that such people are too busy to blog. So bloggers talk to bloggers, not the real radicals. There are two instances that big figures are talking about Radicals. One professor at Stanford Business school simply open mail to all young alumnis about theory of "Tempered Radicals", or people who want to succeed in their
organizations yet want to live by their values. They want to rock the boat, but they want to stay in it. Let's look at another radicals, called "Pragmatic Radicals", this time we are talking about Michael Dell, who apparently live his life most of time in tie and suit, but his mind is exactly what this word described: radical, but pragmatic.

School of rock after dark

Today is a good day, not moody at all. Played soccer, one of the girls showing up in the play she is so hot, and damn good! Got another taste of ETL people, with some cool ideas as side product. I find it's truely fun to watch a movie on sunday night, the last one: since nobody would normally go to cinema this late, except teenagers, people are right, the only reason they go to movie is have sex, given this late, just look at the two three rows in front of me! School of Rock rocks. I liked the color of movie, the season, which is winter, the building of the elementary school looks more like a college, I have not seen such classic elementary school for a long while, whoever goes to such school, they are lucky. People relate to the movie are ones having experiences with kids, such as parents, kids themselves, teachers or those who taught before. They act like they live such life. Obviously the instrument playing was awesome, that is the magic of music. I didn't stop laughing the whole time, except 30 seconds I had to go to rest room, I swear I will watch it again to make it back.

Oh, before I forgot, just translated a Chinese pop song, the lyrics kind of reflect my mood:

COLOR

World is too crowded,
But heart is empty;

Let me paint you with the color;
draw your eyes;
draw your expression;

What you turn out to be;
It's up to me;

Don't want a life that's always same;
I want a bit freedom to imagine;

Don't want days pass me by too fast;
I want a bit room to enjoy time;

Dream and reality;
Don't say they are two different things;

What it turns out to be;
It's up to me;

It's up to you;

It's up to whom?

How the hell to add a title, damn!

It's been like this quiet for quite a period, I mean, saturday night, staying home. The only difference is there is no fuzz inside of me about party and having fun, which is a surprise! I actually sit down at Saturday night watching some TV, browsing some Internet and imagining to start up my own venture and not feeling bored. Yesterday I finally tuned up my guitar and practiced a Waltz section, which didn't quite turned out to be Waltz like-Havn't touched the string for so long and my finger kept getting stuck. I book-marked blogger long long time ago, let me think, why did I start blog account this late as of today? First of all, I was reviewing the Entreprenuerer Thought Leader seminar held at my department this quarter, yeah, once at Stanford, always thinking about the vivid memory. Talking about the memory, the most vivid one is still a b-day party I attended three and half years ago where a 6 foot plastic penis balloon toy was tossed all over that animal house, that night, I tried my first touch on that hot blonde psychology phd chick named..damn..can't remember her name anymore...anyways, that's some memory. Alex asked me to give him a call to hang out some other time instead of merely emailing each other, and also what I want to get out of the involvement with CSPA. Good questions, it's always good that one thinks about the reason s/he does one thing, I am going to let him know my rational. Arcadia Kim
, the development director for EA's game "two towers" really caught my attention late but big. She has been sticking with her dream on computer gaming all these years and she is obvious an overachiever type. I am kinda that type too, the only difference is I havn't figured out what to attach in my career besides being entreprenuer, even though I have never, will never be able to spell it correctly without turning to dictionary. How I came to blog tonight is still a question mark that I couldn't recall, the only thing I knew is I went to this "my harvard life" blog where the pictures were fresh, then I got distracted to the idea of home entertainment, such as digital picture frame and film digitizer. That probably took me an hour to figure out who can be contract manufacutrer, who can be OEM and how I can become a OEM in this field. Astoundingly, there is such a close matching between people's idea, in this case, mine was late but obviously a worthwhile commercial one. However you can't really start something fundamentally original, or at least not very easy, can you? Especially in the tech field, there are just so many brilliant minds around.

So, Am I happy? Well I was happy while being at Stanford, I enjoyed my time, never wanted to get out. I was extremely unhappy for my previous job. I am ok with my current one, but I know OK to me is actually not. I sense the mobility that will involve in my job. The sooner the better. I need to get busy, real busy. Give your imagination 10 minutes a day, that is what I suggested to DeAnza's college kids just a day ago, what about my own imagination, Did I give 10 mins? The important things are still understanding myself. Both Arcadia Kim and Steve Jurvetson stated how they got involved in their industry and have tons of fun. That would be my next immediate goal.
