Three new things/trends learned today

Abc7news.com today reported a few interesting ideas/facts in our local northern California. One is a "low density, energy absorbing foam that, among other potential applications, could help avoid complete wipeout for nations $200 mil surfboard manufacturing market". http://www.sandia.gov/news-center/news-releases/2006/mat-chem/tuf-foam.html

No wonder all of a sudden, I somehow felt the grocery price has increased a lot just lately-you know what, it's not just me. It's the fact. Energy and corn price increase has huge ripple effects across all industries, cow eats corn made food, so milk, cereal, beef's price are all jacked up. So I think a site like retailmenot.com (really it's my favorite value add website, much more so than any other web2.0 sites) will have bright future. There could be more sites like this rise up, I am planning to ride the wave.

Lastly, how to use green to pay for green. Lot of people have started to utilize solar energy to pay for electricity bill, so here comes a new bank: http://www.newresourcebank.com/, founded by an asian guy. What a smart move!
