Amanda Congdon
The current business 2.0 runs an article about www.rocketboom.com, a vlog that is hosted by Amanda Congdon. Come on, it's b2.0 the bible magzine for startup folks like me. So I took it very serious. I was not sure about the looks of Andrew Baron. It's a bit sketchy. Amanda on b2.0 looks just like Sarah of Sarah&no name of popular morning show at San Francisco, only younger, and sexier, b2.0 did a good job to carefully remove the sex appeal of Amanda, as if the success of this particular vlog is a pure entrepreneur miracle. To be sure, I logged on the site, and went through a few vlogs: honestly, do we need another vlog, or show on top of millions we already have? Yes, or no, it really depends on who hosts it. If it were Andrew Baaron, or some random dude or some hand picked fat chick, I can assure you that no one will be interested. You know why? First of all, the majority of vlog audience are well educated males who are early adopters. 2ndly, Amanda is not only just perky, she is actually hot. I can assure you she is 34D if not better. The jokes, or the news, nah, , it's already outdated when it hits rocketboom. It ain't funny. The secret recipe is the combo of a D cup perky actress with a 2nd rated news editing plus a somewhat new format (vlog that is) that makes it a success. It is still, a success. And Amanda will be a million dollar babe. As to you and me, forget about vlog, do something you are good at.
