Fast company and Business 2.0
are two moment of truth magazines that I truely enjoy. A friend of mine even said he knows people solely trade the companies recommended in Business 2.0 and made a lot of money. For three weeks, I have been closely followed one precision supply chain solution supplier in health care industry. So far, the stock has been flat like a pre-teen girls' chest.Think about fast company top 50 winners. They all have a name, an identity, solve one problem well enough. What do we solve? What do we stand for?
Initial Problems: helping college applicants gain knowledge on how to get in dream school.
Initial solutions: A social network that facilitates communication between people with similar background but different status.
Initial market: college, business school entrance.
Expanded market: business school dating; business school social; business school group study and project work space.
Niche solution: matching technology; top business school access. Simulated RPG game to visulize social network.
Market survey: to find out what are the interests to business school people, or, in general, students.
Secondary problems: a social network linking regular people to people they admire through bloggers.
